Painting preparation
Northern Metro Painting undertakes a systematic approach to deliver a high quality professional paint job that results in long-lasting effects. The general steps that will be undertaken are as follows (please note, these steps may change for specific jobs):
Interior House Painting
- Room set-up Furniture and accessories are moved to the centre of the room and covered with clean, new plastic sheeting. All floors are protected with drop cloths.
- Preparation Holes and cracks in ceilings and walls are filled. Stain blocker applied where necessary. Loose/flaking surfaces are sanded.
- Painting Application of primer to bare areas and premium quality paint.
- Clean-up & inspection Furniture and accessories are moved back to their original position. Floors are swept and carpets are vacuumed. All painting materials are packed up. You are invited to do a “walk-through” with us to obtain your satisfaction.
Exterior House Painting
- Washing Areas are power washed or hand washed to remove dirt and mildew.
- Preparation Loose/flaking paint is scraped. Glossy areas are sanded. Gaps are caulked to prevent water intrusion.
- Painting Application of primer (where needed) and premium quality paint.
- Clean-up & inspection A daily clean up is undertaken as well as a complete clean-up at the end of the job. You are invited to do a “walk-through” with us to obtain your satisfaction.
